KW Glee’s Hit Parade is a performance group of current KW Glee performers and alumni. KW Glee is a pop rock choir that performs live in Southern Ontario. The group is managed by Producer & Music Director Steve Lehmann and Artistic Director Amanda Kind. Built of young people aged 9-13 (junior) & 14-19 (senior) this Waterloo Region organization is distinctly different than other choirs – the participants sing music right off the pop charts all while delivering full throttle choreography that brings each song to life in an innovative way.
Since its inception in 2010, KW Glee has had the opportunity to perform a variety of shows including a widely revered concert with the KW Symphony, Waterloo Region Arts Awards, Waterloo Region’s Got Talent, a flash mob for the KOOL FM Poster Boy Campaign kick-off event, and as the headlining act for the City of Kitchener’s New Year’s Eve event. Recently, KW Glee won the National Show Choir Competition in Toronto taking home Best Vocal, Best Choreography, Best Show Design, Best New Choir and the Grand Champion title. There are eleven singles written for and recorded by the group available on iTunes.
In addition to developing performance skills, KW Glee is committed to building confidence, diligence and diplomacy in our members. We are not just building the performers of tomorrow, but also the leaders of tomorrow. Many of our alumni have gone on to have promising careers in a variety of fields including the performing arts.
